We welcome all who are worshipping with us on this Trinity season. St Peter's is a specifically Prayer Book Parish theologically as well as liturgically. What this means is that traditional liturgy (services) are the worshipping expression of normative Anglican, (i.e., of the Anglican Communion) belief. We hope that you find your time in our midst spiritually refreshing and beneficial.
Summer schedules are out: Servers on white paper, Readers on yellow paper, Sidesmen on green paper - please get yours!
Is there someone who should be prayed for ? Prayers can be either public (in Church) or private - in homes and the Rector's personal devotions
In our July Vestry Meeting we learned from our treasurer that we are behind rather seriously in income. Please make an effort to contribute even (especially) for the Sundays you miss during the summer months
The Fredericton Food bank: The Food Bank asks for a focus on ‘meal in a can’ items such as canned stews, canned beans or canned pasta.
Bible Word Scramble : eeosdlpfsh - see readings on reverse. Last week's answer: numbered 1 Samuel 13:15
Note: save this date Confirmation here at St Peter’s Sunday Oct. 21(confirmed with the Bishop’s secretary!)
St Michael’s Youth Conference ages 13 to 20; Aug 20-25 - save these dates. Recent and aspiring confirmation candidates especially should consider this opportunity. Cost $195= scholarships available! [Speak privately with Fr Hebb] The forms are here at the rear!
Note: The floor of the altar area has been redone by Acadia Marble. The new floor is a white marble which highlights the beauty of our worship area and hopefully aids us in focussing our devotions and worship! Though wishing to remain unknown, Fr Hebb gives a great vote of thanks to our generous donors who have made this all possible. Despite other worthy causes and even immediate Parish needs, God’s house is always properly a place for the very best we have to offer!
Needed: One compact CD player for Sunday School use; new preferred, used ok!
