We welcome all who are worshipping with us this holy season. St Peter's is a specifically Prayer Book Parish theologically as well as liturgically. What this means is that traditional liturgy (services) are the worshipping expression of normative Anglican, (i.e., of the Anglican Communion) belief. We hope that you find your time in our midst spiritually refreshing and beneficial.

Annual Meeting NEWS: Those gathered listened to a joint presentation on Natural Church Development (NCD) from our representatives; vestryman, Wilfred Alliston and synod delegate Sandra Gereau. NCD is the program chosen by Vestry last May (2010) as the one on offer from the Diocese, most likely to benefit St Peter’s. It involves a Parish Assessment. The assessment is in the form of a survey filled-out by at least 30 persons representing every aspect of parish life! This assessment would identify strengths and weaknesses and we would then work collectively on improvements. The annual meeting also discussed a proposal to develop parish property behind both the hall and the rectory. The proposal would take several years to execute, would involve high-value housing and necessitate the involvement of a developer. Respectful discussion revealed points both for and against such a move on behalf of the Parish. The airing of differing views was most informative and helpful. The differing perspectives will be reflected in the make-up of our new vestry and discussion will continue.

The Rector is most appreciative that some folks did sign up for February snow shovelling.

Saint Michael’s Youth Conference dates 2011: August 23-27th inclusive.

Adult Saint Michael’s Conference hosted by St Peter’s (here) Friday and Saturday April 8 & 9, 2011 stay tuned for further details. Events will commence with EP at 5 p.m. It appears a full supper meal, a breakfast and light lunch will be required. Outside volunteers are doing the breakfast. I volunteered to do lunch soup/chilli but need some help. I ask that the parish look after the supper meal 15-20 people tops. Those attending will most likely be charged a representative fee. It will also be desirable for Billets to be offered. Please think about this.
