Vestry Meeting TODAY, 12:30 in the Taylor Room - last meeting of the year !

Fr Hebb will be off on sick-leave (following surgery) from Nov 13 to Dec 20 inclusive. All mid-weeks and Bible Studies are cancelled for this time-frame. Sunday services continue as usual. Various inquiries should be funnelled through Parish Wardens: Bob Matthews or Mary Christie
Service schedule until March, sidesmen, servers and readers are all at the rear !

We welcome all who are worshipping with us on this Trinity Season. St Peter's is a specifically Prayer Book Parish theologically as well as liturgically. What this means is that traditional liturgy (services) are the worshipping expression of normative Anglican, (i.e., of the Anglican Communion) belief. We hope that you find your time in our midst spiritually refreshing and beneficial.

Fredericton Food Bank welcomes: vegetables, hand bar soaps, hair care items, shampoo, shaving cream, razors, toothpaste, feminine hygiene items.

ACW Regular & Annual Mtg & Pot Luck Nov 17, 6:30 in Parish Hall.

Bible Word Scramble : eiondbdfr - Last week's answer: breathing Acts 9:1

Last of the year Parish Bible Study: St Anne’s Court, Nov 11, 3:30 p.m.

ACW Christmas Bazaar & Chicken Casserole Luncheon was a success- thank you to all who supported, worked and purchased at this event.

Operation Christmas Child "Shoe Box" campaign: Thanks to Darla we are again sharing in this ministry to less fortunate children around the world. Shoe boxes are provided at the rear and in each box are instructions as to what can and cannot go in each gift box. Please pick up a box and participate in this ministry. ALL Boxes must be returned by Nov 23rd for shipment overseas.

Devon Park Baptist Living Christmas Tree 7 p.m. on Nov 28, 29, & 30th

Needed Now: A volunteer(s) to snow shovel the church and parish hall this winter. Shovelling must be done after each storm. If we cannot find volunteer(s) or someone to pay to do it the hall will become unusable. This will seriously impact our outreach (cubs, scouts etc) and also hurt (or terminate) hall generated cash flow from paying rentals. Volunteering by the month is also welcome!

A Part of Our Parish History:

The Unique Artillery Shell ‘Vase’ at St Peter’s:

Given in memory of Corporeal Cunliffe Powys born 1 Jan 1896 in F’ton and killed in action 2 June 1916 at Sanctuary Woods in France. He had belonged to the 28th NB Dragoons prior to the war. He joined the army in Amherst NS on 30 March 1915. He was a member of the 4th Canadian Mounted Rifles. // His father Percy Cunliffe Powys had moved to Winnipeg and enlisted 25 Aug., 1915 - 6 mos after his son. He belonged to the 37th Battery, Royal Canadian Artillery. // On what would have been the son Beverley’s 22nd birthday, his father Percy fired this 18 pounder artillery shell at the Lens Front. He then brought the shell casing back to Fredericton as a memorial to his son. It has been in the safe keeping of the Parish ever since.
