We welcome all who are worshipping with us this day. St Peter's is a specifically Prayer Book Parish theologically as well as liturgically. What this means is that traditional liturgy (services) are the worshipping expression of normative Anglican, (i.e., of the Anglican Communion) belief. We hope that you find your time in our midst spiritually refreshing and beneficial.

Our Parish Treasurer reports that the Church Exterior Restoration Fund appears to be sufficient if the last bill is as expected. What is NOT healthy is our current account – that is, collection plate income – we are low. Those who were not here this summer and who are not on e-offering please make up for time missed. Although you were not here our expenses continued!

Sue Careless is Coming to St Peter’s!! St Peter’s will be hosting the ONLY Fredericton stopover for noted writer Sue Careless when she is on her 2010 Atlantic Canadian book tour. Promoting her third book on the Book of Common Prayer, Sue will give an engaging talk, answer questions and sign books. Save the date Monday October 25, 7 p.m. at St Peter’s Parish hall. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage an author, to meet and to learn!

Vestry News: At Vestry on Sunday Sept. 26 we received the good news that donations thus far to the Restoration Project total $38,268.00 – with some pledges yet to be finalized. It was decided to invite Archbishop Miller for a service of Celebration and Thanksgiving for this positive result. A Parish Evensong and Episcopal visit is scheduled for Thursday Nov 4, 7 p.m. – please keep this date free! Also it was suggested that the Sunday School, this autumn, accept the challenge of adopting the “Corn Grinder” Project for the companion diocese of Ho. Ruth B also agreed to be SS treasurer – we had been without a treasurer since last November. Vestry has yet to find attendees for the Greater Chapter meeting to be held Oct 7 and representatives for the Natural Church Development (NCD) conference on Nov 6 at CCPC. NCD is the program chosen by vestry at its May meeting as the most suitable means whereby to conduct a Parish self-assessment. This assessment would identify strengths and weaknesses and suggest methods of improvement.
