We welcome all who are visiting us for worship on this Fourth Sunday of the Advent season. You will notice that St Peter's is a specifically Prayer Book Parish theologically as well as liturgically. What this means is that traditional liturgy (services) are the worshipping expression of normative Anglican, (i.e., of the Anglican Communion) belief. We hope that you find your time in our midst spiritually refreshing and beneficial.

A Service of Nine (9) Christmas Carols & Lessons: at the Cathedral today at 4 p.m.. Go early !

Vestry News: Year-end discussion included the subject of payments into the diocese – we are asked for exactly $13,860.00. It was decided to pay at least $9,400.00 – (10% of last year’s total offerings), even if this means taking from investments. If income exceeds other year-end Parish requirements, then a proportional additional sum will be paid to the diocese up to the full amount asked. NCD initiatives were reviewed: Both the teaching outreach (Parables sessions) and the new Sunday School scheduling were deemed successes. Fr Hebb did not credit the visiting initiative a success. One aspect of this is the once monthly delivery of video-recorded sermons/talks to our shut-ins and elderly – this has not yet come into being! Dr Klinck gave an update on work being down in preparation for our application of St Peter’s Church as a National Historic Site. Interest was expressed in the parish obtaining a display cabinet in the hall just like the two nice ones the Scouts have erected. Finally, a Nominations Committee of Wilfred Alliston, Mark Fisher & Rector Hebb was struck to solicit interest in serving on the vestry and/or as synod delegates and alternates for 2012. New members are desired. Please speak to any of these persons to express an interest – you do NOT have to wait to be asked!

Church Calendars are available for sale at $6:00 each – please place funds in can!

Christmas Flowers: Those wishing to make memorials please speak with Maria M at 459-4552

Pre- Christmas Home & shut-in Holy Communions: Please speak to Fr Hebb immediately if there is a need for this ministry which he may not be aware of or simply verify that a desirous parishioner is on his list f Home for Communions!
