A warm New Brunswick welcome to Missionary Canon Paul Jeffries! Canon Paul is with us today for worship, and then, after 11 a.m.'s service, potluck and presentation in the Parish Hall. Please note that our “spiritual partnership” Parish of St Mary’s, Devon has been officially invited to join us for the potluck and presentation.

We welcome all who are joining us for worship today. You will notice that St Peter's is a specifically Prayer Book Parish theologically as well as liturgically. What this means is that traditional liturgy (services) are the worshipping expression of normative Anglican, (i.e., of the Anglican Communion) belief. We hope that you find your time in our midst spiritually refreshing and beneficial.

Positive News: On Monday Feb 11, 2013 St Peter’s Cemetery was declared a historic site by Fredericton City Council. Fr Hebb addressed Council on the occasion. This event made the CBC radio Tuesday a.m. news, is a written article on the CBC website news and was written up in the Daily Gleaner on Wed., Feb 13 section A, page 4.

New offering envelopes are at the rear – if your name is not on a box then please claim a new box and sign your name on the sheet on the wall provided for that purpose. Let’s all do our bit financially and together keep the doors of St Peter’s open for our upcoming 175th year

Note: On Friday Jan 25th at 7 p.m. a meeting was held between members of St Mary’s, Devon vestry and members of St. Peter’s vestry to discuss and investigate the possibilities inherent in our Parishes’ proposed “spiritual partnership” relationship. Fr Hebb chaired the meeting.

New Parish schedules are out  – get yours at the rear in paper form or visit the Parish Website and consult the electronic version on-line!

ACW News: St Peter’s hosted the local World Day of Prayer service on March 1- a reception followed in the parish Hall.

All Parish ladies are invited to join the ACW at the Deanery house by the Cathedral on Wed. March 6 at 2:30 for an informal "tea" with Canon Jeffries - and a peak at the renovated house now dubbed "O'Dell House".

Income tax receipts will be available next Sunday Feb 24th.

Next Sunday is our special annual Lenten Lessons and Meditations service. Please plan to attend and invite a friend to this unique Lenten offering here at St Peter's. Your choir and organist have been working away preparing for this event.

Celebrating 175 Years: Last week Vestry brainstormed our anniversary year potential. Items being pursued include an educational event in late April/early May, a catered Parish Banquet in the autumn as well as a special anniversary service late in the fall. Stay tuned for further updates!

Note: food bank grocery supplies are very low. Fr Hebb has had to dip into his discretionary fund to buy groceries for a family of five this past week and an individual the previous week - total $138.00 thus far!
