We welcome all who are worshipping with us this Trinity Season. St Peter's is a specifically Prayer Book Parish
theologically as well as liturgically. What this means is that traditional
liturgy (services) are the worshipping expression of normative Anglican, (i.e.,
of the Anglican Communion) belief. We hope that you find your time in our midst
spiritually refreshing and beneficial. We also pray that you might find time in your busy life to return!
We welcome organist Peter
Waterhouse to our parish this Sunday. Sandra is in recovery from her surgery.
Celebrating 175 Years: There will be a special anniversary service with
Archbishop Miller on Sunday Nov., 24th. 11 a.m. Our ACW is creating special
book marks and note cards and planning special Christmas cards and
"Thinking of You" cards to
mark the occasion. Vestry has authorized the production of two distinctive styles of St Peter's
"Sun Catcher" glass ornaments. As for
the catered Parish Banquet, a committee has set a
date of Sat, Oct 26 …..dinner will
be $25 per person with entertainment and the theme will be the 175
anniversary of St Peters. We welcome and
encourage other members of the congregation to participate on the committee and
assume a role - next meeting is June 18, 7 p.m. in Parish hall. Areas of
work will include…..coordinating the catering, decorating and set up for
dinner, organizing entertainment, selling tickets, publicity, soliciting and
co-ordinating door prize(s) and silent auction items, soliciting and arranging
“memories of yesterday at St Peters”, printing of tickets and programs. Please
speak to Mary Christie, Frankie Ashfield, Nancy Perry, Audrey Kelly or Larry
Corscadden, or Rev Hebb to join in the fun of planning this great evening. It
is proposed to limit tickets sales to 75
persons and everyone has to purchase a ticket, even Fr Hebb!
