We welcome all visitors to our Parish this day. St Peter's is a specifically Prayer Book Parish theologically as well as liturgically. What this means is that traditional liturgy (services) are the worshipping expression of normative Anglican, (i.e., of the Anglican Communion) belief. We hope that you find your time in our midst spiritually refreshing and beneficial. Please pray for us!

New Schedules are OUT: sidesmen on white paper; readers on grey paper and servers on lilac colored paper

The new newsletter : The Parish Broadside is out today for those who do NOT have Internet access copies with your names are available at the rear. For those with Internet access the document can be found on our website.

Our Shrove Tuesday Supper was a success. Volunteers were ready and willing as were workers, eaters and members of the scouting movement! Well done.

A Message from YOUR Vestry: Re: St. Peter’s Contributions: Here at St Peter’s, as elsewhere, there is the need to increase our weekly giving so as to remain economically viable. To that end, Vestry members have accepted the challenge and each member has agreed to increase their personal giving by 10% each week. We would invite and encourage you to join us in this undertaking. St. Peter’s has played a central role in the lives of parishioners for more than 170 years. Our ability to continue with our joint Ministry hinges on our capacity to meet mounting operating expenses and a growing capital budget.Thank you for your consideration of this important request and please feel free to discuss this in greater detail with the Wardens; Bob Matthews and Mary Christie, any Vestry member or Fr. Hebb. To change your e-offering pick up the form at the rear or download it from this link:

" The Fredericton Institute for Christian Studies will be holding their Annual Meeting on Thursday March 5,2009 at 10:00 AM at the Nashwaaksis United Church. A light lunch will be server after the meeting"

On Sunday, 8 March, during a meeting in the Diocese of Fredericton, the clergy and people of the Diocese are invited to lunch with the General Synod Faith, Worship and Ministry Committee at Christ Church Cathedral Memorial Hall in Fredericton. Lunch will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by a brief presentation about the work of the Committee and an opportunity for questions and answers. Advance registration is necessary by 5 March to make in possible to plan lunch and is available from the Diocesan Web Online Registration page.The mandate of FWM is to respond to the concerns of Anglicans across the country expressed through priorities set by the General Synod. Their portfolio is large and often controversial. It includes:

Liturgical development – including translation of texts, joint liturgical work with our partner Lutheran Church (ELCIC), preparing Principles of Liturgical Revision;
Theological education – preparing for a national consultation January 2010;
Anglican Ecclesiology – including ecumenical shared ministries, inter-church dialogues, the Covenant, and the development of a theological rational for changes to the marriage canon;
Sexuality and Ethics – resourcing the continuing dialogue on human sexuality

The Committee’s 16 members - bishops, priests and lay people – and the staff, Alyson Barnet-Cowan (director), Isaac Kawuki Mukasa, Eileen Scully and Jo Abrams, bring to these tasks the diversities that both enrich and challenge our church today: geography, culture, age, and churchmanship. Working prayerfully, thoughtfully and diligently towards achieving the tasks set out by General Synod 2008, the Committee and staff continually strive to be open and available to hear the hopes and concerns of the church.
