TODAY Feb 15 First Vestry Meeting of 2009 12:30 p.m.

We welcome all visitors to our Parish this day. St Peter's is a specifically Prayer Book Parish theologically as well as liturgically. What this means is that traditional liturgy (services) are the worshipping expression of normative Anglican, (i.e., of the Anglican Communion) belief. We hope that you find your time in our midst spiritually refreshing and beneficial. Please pray for us!
Is there someone who should be prayed for ? Prayers can be either public (in Church) or private - in homes and the Rector's personal devotions.

Fredericton Food bank: The Food Bank asks for a focus on ‘meal in a can’ items such as canned stews, canned beans or canned pasta. Remember: the need which exists before Christmas does not go away in February!

Parish monthly ACW meeting March 2 Hall 7 p.m. - weather permitting!

World Day of Prayer March 6 at St Peter’s Anglican Church

Bible Word Scramble : aaeeppdr - see readings on reverse. Last week’s answer: subtle Genesis 3:1

Handouts from the Annual Parish Meeting as well as the minutes of this year’s annual meeting are available at the rear - challenges await us in 2009!!

Shrove Tuesday Supper Feb 24 - please plan to help and attend! See new sign-up sheets at the rear. Please begin today!

Also - if you usually serve as a sideman, server and/or reader and will be away between now and the end of June please let me know exactly when you will be away so I can schedule you accordingly!

Forward in Faith: the third of six 5-week programs based on the Nicene Creed, begins on Tuesday, March 3rd, and will run on Tuesdays in Lent through March 31st. Meager Lenten fare consisting of soup and bread (+ tea/coffee/water) is at 6 pm in the hall, for which free-will donations will gratefully be received (but don't worry if you're strapped), followed by teaching by one of 5 priests, discussion and closing with the ancient office of Compline, ending by 8 pm (guaranteed). Supper begins precisely at 6, then teaching as follows:
